Interactive Circuit Simulator

A physics-based circuit simulator for exploring simple electrical systems in an interactive way. Start by connecting a wire to the analyzer at the bottom of the sandbox. When you form a connected loop, you can then press Enter to analyze the circuit and start the simulation.

This project is a general-purpose circuit sandbox that lets you build and experiment with standard electronic components, including:

• batteries
• wires
• resistors
• capacitors
• inductors
• voltmeters
• ammeters

Unit values can be changed by hovering the mouse over the property in the top left box, typing the desired value in the text box directly under (mouse must be over this text area), and then by pressing Enter. 

You can construct both basic DC setups and dynamic systems such as RC, RL, and RLC circuits. The simulation allows you to observe how currents and voltages evolve over time (via the hand tool; activate with H), making it useful for not only exploring how capacitors and resistors behave in series and parallel, but also charging and oscillatory behaviors.
